Getting Started with the Integrated Experience

For first-time users, there's no need to prepare a complete prompt upfront. Simply select a recommended task to get started and familiarize yourself with the process. When you open WorkBuddy, a new "WeChat Work" recommendation capsule appears on the homepage; click any of the four recommended commands to automatically fill the input box and start the operation.

Key Functionalities of the Integration

Summarize Unread Messages and Emails in One Sentence

Tell WorkBuddy directly: "Summarize my today's WeChat Work unread messages and unread emails, and tell me which ones need my attention." The tool will categorize unread information into three groups: "Need to handle", "Worthy of attention", and "Others", extracting summaries and action items, making it clear at a glance what needs to be responded to, advanced, or forwarded.

Forward Chat Records to WorkBuddy for Task Execution

When processing discussions related to a project, relevant background may be scattered across documents, meeting minutes, and files. You can select and forward relevant work messages from WeChat Work groups to WorkBuddy for task assignment. Upon receiving the forwarded content, WorkBuddy will display a "Forwarded Content" card showing the number of messages and files, and automatically identify and read referenced online documents, microdisk files, schedules, to-dos, meetings, and intelligent minutes, eliminating the need for manual copying.

Directly Reference Microdisk Files

To advance work based on content in microdisk files, click the "+" at the bottom left of WorkBuddy's input box, select "Add File" → "WeChat Work Microdisk" to open the microdisk window. After selecting the desired file and clicking "Confirm", it will appear as an attachment in the input box.

Assign Tasks to Send Messages via WorkBuddy

After processing materials, you often need to synchronize with colleagues. Now, you can directly issue sending instructions to WorkBuddy to complete this step. For example: "Help me convert this document to HTML and send it directly to the 'Project Record Group'." Before sending, you will verify the recipient and content in the panel, then click "Confirm" to send the message. WorkBuddy will not send messages without your confirmation, supporting delivery to internal WeChat Work single chats or groups, with content including text, links, images, and files.

Share Task Results Back to WeChat Work

After completing tasks, results need to be synchronized. Now, output and delivery can be done in the same terminal: click the "Share" button to choose to send links or files to WeChat Work, or upload to "WeChat Work Microdisk" via the "Cloud" button.

Interact with WorkBuddy Like a Colleague

WorkBuddy has entered WeChat Work as a conversational bot. When communicating in WeChat Work, you can assign tasks to WorkBuddy conveniently. Moreover, the WorkBuddy bot in WeChat Work and the WorkBuddy bot in the desktop app have synchronized contexts, so you can continue the conversation from where you left off when switching, reducing repeated explanations.

Set Scheduled Tasks for WeChat Work

For repetitive daily work, you can set scheduled tasks for WorkBuddy to execute on time. The steps are: fill in the task name and prompt → enable the "WeChat Work" connector → set the execution frequency (e.g., "every working day at 12:00") → turn on the "Push results to WeChat Work" switch → click "Confirm". After that, task results will be automatically pushed to WeChat Work each time. You can also issue "scheduled task" commands directly in the chat.

After organizing project plans, if you want to invite relevant colleagues to review or remind them of specific content, you can directly @ and invite WeChat Work members in relevant documents in the library, keeping the communication and collaboration going.

One-Click Account, Permission, and Usage Management in Backend

Enterprises can manage accounts, permissions, and usage in the backend via WeChat Work organization structure: Account Allocation: Administrators can view allocated and remaining available numbers, assign spots to members who need it, or allow members to apply for spots via "Member Application Settings". Validity, monthly fixed quota, and per-member available quota can all be viewed on the same page. Permission Settings: Authorization status of capabilities like schedules, meetings, emails, and to-dos can be viewed and adjusted as needed. Operations involving employee meeting content, email search, and reading require employee authorization, and WorkBuddy will only operate within the authorized scope. Usage Management: Fixed usage and additional packages, as well as consumption per member, can be viewed in the backend. Administrators can filter by cycle, department, or usage, search for members, check usage status and upper limits, and adjust limits individually or in batches as needed.

Currently, WeChat Work covers over 14 million real enterprises and organizations, serving 750 million WeChat users. This update combines the long-term connection capabilities of the relevant platform with WorkBuddy's ability to understand requirements and execute tasks, making AI integrate more naturally into daily enterprise work.
